It is good for small tattoo. For big ones it is better to stick to contemprary style.

a bloodline tattoo basically created to get an idea - till what extent you need to color a tattoo - it generally vanishes withing 3-4 days, AJ is right its good only for small tattoos that requires only single sitting for a multiple sitting tattoo its not useful...

well a bloodline cannot be used in every tattoo you do. it has to pre-planned. im sure you study the design before you ink someone. same way you need to have an idea where you want to use a bloodline. its commonly used when you are doing a portrait or a realistic tattoo. and by the way bloodlines are used for multiple sitting tattoos and not small ones..the purpose of a bloodline is you finish as much as possible in the 1st seating, do a bloodline which is very light. atleast in the 2nd seating you dont have to worry about transferring your stencil again.....

Great information here in the comments. Didn't realize that bloodline lasted for such a short time.
